Beckham currently plays with Real Madrid in Spain, after a long and successful tenure with Manchester United. He has served as the English captain since 2000, as well as being the only Englishman to score in three different World Cups. A deadly free-kick artist, Beckham has gained international notoriety with his many splendid goals from set pieces.
Beckham recently resigned as the English captain after a defeat by Portugal on penalty kicks in the World Cup quarterfinals. He is a highly marketed superstar and has endorsement deals with several large global companies.
