Dwayne Wade
Miami Heat Basketball Player
Born on the south side of Chicago, Dwayne Wade has climbed the ranks into professional basketballs elite and made a name for himself as the star player of the Miami Heat. After starring for Marquette University, Wade was selected by the Miami Heat with the fifth pick in the 2003 NBA draft. After a season of making a name for himself, the Heat traded for Shaquille O'Neal and gave Wade a strong supporting cast with the additions of Gary Payton, Antoine Walker, James Posey, and Jason Williams. Despite his bashfulness and denial, it's no secret that Wade carried the Heat on his back en route to their first NBA title in the spring of 2006. At only 24 years old, Wade paired with Shaquille O'Neal and a roster of distinguished veterans to deliver Miami their first ever title since the franchise entered the league.
