Peter Gammons has been a studio analyst and staple voice in baseball circles since 1988 with ESPN. A regular on "Baseball Tonight," Gammons extensive knowledge of the game and straight forward delivery of the latest news and notes from the diamond are the most respected in his profession. After a long career at the Boston Globe, where he wrote a Sunday column about baseball, Gammons worked with Sports Illustrated, where he covered the National Hockey League. Also having worked for Major League Baseball, Gammons experience is unquestionably among the best ever.
The Boston native has recently left ESPN due to a brain aneurysm. It has been reported that he was released on July 17 and is in a rehab facility. We at GridironTalk.com wish Peter Gammons a speedy recovery.
