One of the best comedies ever made! Anyone who appreciates hockey or grew up in Minnesota can vouch for the non-stop humor in this movie. Three brothers join a fledgling hockey franchise in the minor professional league to help give them a boost. Unbeknownst to their teammates, these are three brothers who still act as if they are in grade school, playing with toy cars on road trips and get rowdy with at the airport when one of the brothers fumes "the fuckin machine took my quarter."
Player-Coach Reg Dunlop, played by Paul Newman, tries to revive his franchise by starting rumors of relocating the team to Florida. Constant disputes with management and the owner of the franchise make things difficult for Dunlop, but all along he keeps the team motivated and the fans at the edge of their seats.
The new blood on the team intensifies rivalries with other teams and their star players, namely "Ogie Ogilthorpe" a goaltender with a bisexual wife named "Hanrhan," and "Tim 'Dr Hook' McCracken."
Non-stop fights, one-liners, and "Old Time Hockey" make this a movie for every hockey fans collection.
